Our story
The California Farmworker Foundation was founded in 2016 by a group of agriculturalists who recognized an urgent, community-wide need for better healthcare, housing, and food security. For the past decade CFF has worked to improve the quality of life of the men and women who feed our nation.
Today CFF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving more than 65,000 farmworkers across six California counties — Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kern, Santa Barbara, and Riverside — through daily, direct engagement with farmworkers and their families. In 2025 CFF was named California Nonprofit of the Year.
Hand to Harvest is how that year-round work gets funded — and how the community that makes it possible gathers to celebrate it.
Our mission
The California Farmworker Foundation serves and supports California farmworkers by providing programs and services to better their quality of life — and by empowering them to become leaders and advocates for themselves and their communities.
Every initiative is guided by data, so programs respond to what communities actually need. As CFF marks its 10-year milestone, it is reinvesting in the Central Valley communities that have been central to the mission from day one.

Red Card education, Know Your Rights workshops, notary services, and public-benefit navigation — delivered on-site in the fields with partners like TODEC and the Consulate of Mexico.

Free, interactive programs for online banking, budgeting, and fraud prevention — plus language literacy — with U.S. Bank and EveryoneOn.

Rural mobile clinics & food security
Mobile clinics bring general, vision, and dental screenings to worksites — backed by health education and large-scale food distributions across four counties.

Delano, California
Ten years of mobile clinics, pop-up workshops, and borrowed rooms are getting a permanent home. Built on the former Valley High School campus, the Family Resource Center is a one-stop hub bringing every CFF service under one roof — open year-round, not only when a program comes through town.
And it's where this year's gala is held. Hand to Harvest 2026 takes place at the Center your support helped make possible — the first time guests can see it for themselves.
